Ellen Pompeo talked Grey’s Anatomy and just how many seasons she thinks are left for the show.
When Grey’s returns for it’s 14th season this fall, it will air its 300th episode!!!!!!!!!!
It will tie ‘The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet’ for ABC’s longest-running series.
This is DEFINITELY a big deal. But how much is left? The show’s lead star Ellen Pompeo–AKA Meredith Grey–said they want to try and tie ‘Gunsmoke’s’ 20 season run:
I know that we want to try to—Well, let’s just see, you know? I don’t like to take things for granted. You can’t just assume the show can go on forever. It’s up to the fans. And the fans will let us know how long they want the show to air.”
Honestly, after they killed Derrick off, I thought it was over. HOW in the world was it going to go on without him. But ultimately, I was reminded it’s GREY’S anatomy. It’s about Meredith–and it became about how she was going to surpass and learn to live without Derrick.
The show is really, REALLY, good. Still. So I think it will go on for quite a while 🙂 Congrats to them on their upcoming 300th episode!
